Trailer Tuesday

Trailer Tuesday vol. 17: Fish, birds, a bit of horror, and dancing!

In this week’s Trailer Tuesday we look at Finding Dory (of course!), #Horror, Rupert Grint’s new film Moonwalkers, a documentary about dance and a documentary about birds, and more!

1. Finding Dory
When it is released? 29th Jul 2016 (UK), 17th Jun 2016 (USA)
Who is distributing it? Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures (UK and USA)
What is it about? The friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish reunites with her loved ones, and everyone learns a few things about the true meaning of family along the way.
Who is in it? Ellen DeGeneres, Idris Elba, Dominic West, Willem Dafoe, Diane Keaton, Hayden Rolence
Where did I find it? www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSf-5vbVpAU
What did I think? Of course my first trailer for this week is Finding Dory! I’ve included it more for my excitement for the film itself rather than for the trailer, as I thought this teaser was a bit… flappy. It didn’t make me excited, and it makes it seem like it’s just carrying on from Finding Nemo. I know sometimes this is a good thing, but it was all just a bit confusing. There’s nothing special about it unfortunately. However, I’m optimistic about seeing the full trailer!

2. #Horror

Who is distributing it? IFC Midnight (USA)

Who is in it? Emma Adler, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Jessica Blank, Chloë Sevigny
Where did I find it? www.traileraddict.com/horror-2015/feature-trailer
What did I think? I liked the October-released trailer for #Horror, but there are a lot of haunting visuals in this new trailer, which make it more promising on the creepy side of things.

3. Body

Who is distributing it? Matchbox Films (UK, DVD), Oscilloscope Pictures (USA)
What is it about? A night out turns deadly when three girls break into a seemingly empty mansion.
Who is in it? Helen Rogers, Alexandra Turshen, Lauren Molina
Where did I find it? www.traileraddict.com/body-2015/feature-trailer
What did I think? Not sure about that ending, nor the film itself, but the mystery of the three girl’s plot is something I am intrigued by.

4. Moonwalkers
When it is released? 15th Jan 2016 (USA)
Who is distributing it? Alchemy (USA)
What is it about? A CIA agent and a rock manager team up to help Stanley Kubrick fake the moon landings.

Who is distributing it? The Orchard (worldwide)

Who is in it? Kathryn McCormick, Kayla Sameski, Alyssa Gaines, Montserrat Roberts
Where did I find it? www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi2827530777?ref_=ttvi_vi_imdb_1

When it is released? 4th Dec 2015 (USA)
Who is distributing it? Kino Lorber (USA)
What is it about? The Messenger is an artful investigation into the causes of songbird mass depletion and the people working to turn the tide. This visually thrilling film reveals how the issues facing birds also pose daunting implications for our planet.
Who is in it? Unknown
Where did I find it? www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi1501671961?ref_=ttvi_vi_imdb_1
What did I think? And if you’re a fan of birds, then you may be mesmerised by this trailer the same way that I was! It is beautiful. And important.

7. The Finest Hours
When it is released? 29th Jan 2016 (UK and USA)
Who is distributing it? Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures
What is it about? The Coast Guard makes a daring rescue attempt off the coast of Cape Cod after a pair of oil tankers are destroyed during a blizzard in 1952.
